The Chef
Chef Jamila learned to cook in a Trinidadian household where hospitality was never treated as a special occasion. It was simply a way of life. There was always room for one more person at the table, and always a sense of pride in making others feel cared for.
Her mother worked two jobs, one of them overnight, yet found the time every Sunday morning to cook for the family. The meals were never elaborate. They didn't need to be. They were an act of love that taught Chef Jamila hospitality isn't about perfection, it's about making people feel welcomed.
That principle followed her through more than two decades in professional kitchens across New York and Atlanta, and it's the same one she brings to Tallahassee today through J.C.T Events & Co, whether she's cooking for an intimate dinner, a wedding of hundreds, or a room full of curious students.

Every event follows the same three stages, kept simple on purpose so you can focus on the celebration, not the logistics.
We start with your vision, guest count, and budget, and map out what's possible: planning, catering, cake, design, or all four together.
Menus are built and tasted, tablescapes are drafted, and every detail is confirmed before your event date arrives.
On the day itself, our team executes the plan on site so you can be a guest at your own event.
